About the Cell
The SC/ST Cell at Bansal Institute of Research, Technology and Science (BIRTS), Bhopal, is established to safeguard the interests of students and staff belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes. The cell ensures equal opportunities, social justice, and a supportive academic environment while addressing issues related to discrimination, welfare, and academic support.

Mission

Objectives

• Monitor implementation of reservation policies as per government norms.
• Address grievances related to discrimination or harassment.
• Facilitate access to scholarships, financial assistance, and support services.
• Encourage participation of SC/ST students in academic and co-curricular activities.

Functions

• Maintain records of SC/ST students and beneficiaries of schemes.
• Organize awareness programs on welfare schemes and rights.
• Provide counseling, mentoring, and academic guidance.
• Coordinate with authorities to resolve issues promptly.

 
Complaint & Support Mechanism
Grievances may be submitted in writing or through the institutional portal. All complaints are handled confidentially and resolved in a fair, time-bound manner in accordance with government and statutory regulations.
